UCF Health has a wide variety of the most advance laser therapies to treat an array of skin concerns, including pigmentation, wrinkles, freckles and broken blood vessels. This laser technology offers a fast and advanced method to rid your skin of imperfections. People seeking healthier looking skin often face untenable options of invasive medical procedures associated with undesirable side effects or costly cosmetic creams and makeup that only temporarily mask the underlying condition. With laser treatment, these skin concerns are efficiently treated with little to no pain, and very little down time. And the best part is you can see results in as little as one treatment.

Chemical Peels

Chemical peels can help rejuvenate your skin by advancing the rate of skin cell turnover. This results in radiant skin, with less fine lines, and can reduce acne scars and restore balance to your skin tone. Our doctor will match your skin needs to the intensity of the chemical peel that will give you your desired results. Downtime is dependent on the strength of the chemical peel, and results are usually seen after a series of 2-3 treatments spaced about 2-4 weeks apart.

Surgical Cosmetic Services

Scar Revision

Scar formation is an inevitable consequence of wound healing from either a traumatic or a surgical intervention. Scar revision surgery can minimize a scar so that it is less conspicuous and blends in with the surrounding skin tone and texture. Although scar revision can provide a more pleasing cosmetic result or improve a scar that has healed poorly, a scar cannot be completely erased.

If your doctor determines that surgical scare revision is the best option to reduce the appearance of your scar, the procedure is performed under local anesthesia and follow up care is needed to evaluate your healing and remove any stitches. After treatment, it can take 12 to 24 months for the full improvements to be visible.
