UCF Health, the College of Medicine faculty practice, continues to grow, with two new primary care specialists joining the practice this month. All UCF Health physicians are faculty at the medical school. Both new physicians will be caring for patients at UCF Health’s East Orlando location, just blocks from the main UCF campus, at University and Quadrangle boulevards.

Dr. Ariel Mejia is an Internal Medicine specialist who speaks Spanish and Portuguese in addition to English. He said his clinical approach is to help patients manage their illnesses with a treatment approach that is meaningful, cost-effective and educational, with the idea that patients can become masters of their diagnoses.

He completed an internal medicine residency at the Good Samaritan Hospital in Cincinnati, Ohio. Before joining UCF Health, Dr. Mejia was an Internal Medicine primary care provider with Trinity Health in Michigan.
