Biography

Dr. Mariana Dangiolo is a founding faculty member at the UCF College of Medicine and a board-certified family physician with added certification in geriatric medicine. She brings over 20 years of experience in clinical care, medical education, and research focused on aging and dementia. At UCF Health’s Lake Nona clinic, she provides comprehensive care for older adults, with expertise in cognitive health, frailty, chronic disease management, and caregiver support.

Dr. Dangiolo is actively engaged in Alzheimer’s research as a Co-Investigator on NIH – and Florida Department of Health – funded studies involving wearable EEG biomarkers, sarcopenia, and the aging microbiome. She serves nationally as a reviewer for the American Geriatrics Society, and internationally as a member of the European Geriatric Medicine Society’s Special Interest Group in DementiaSarcopenia, and Medical Education

Outside of medicine, she is a dedicated swimmer and enjoys life with her husband and young twins.
