Once basic needs like food and shelter are met, most people turn their attention toward seeking happiness. But what is happiness? Psychologists around the world have tackled the phenomenon of happiness for years.
The July 2, 2013 edition of Psychology Today had an interesting take on the subject in their article, “What Happy People Do Differently.” The author suggested that truly happy people are curious and seek opportunities for growth and adventure beyond the boundaries of their comfort zones.
While we don’t necessarily recommend taking up skydiving or spelunking, we do challenge you to mix up your normal routine. Instead of heading for the movie theater, try a stage production on for size. Rather than dining at your usual restaurant, why not take a chance on a different cuisine with new friends? And instead of pulling out the TV Guide, turn your attention toward that hobby you’ve always wanted to learn.
