Personal Information
All personal information, defined as any information that identifies or can be used to identify the person to whom such information relates, that is collected and maintained via the UCF College of Medicine websites will be subject to this Privacy Policy, as amended from time to time.

Collection of Personal Information
When visiting UCF College of Medicine websites, you can engage in many activities without providing any personal information. In connection with other activities, such as email lists or newsletter subscriptions, RSVP, or utilizing online services, we may ask you to provide certain information about yourself by filling out and submitting a form. Depending upon the activity, some of the information that we ask you to provide is identified as mandatory and some as voluntary. If you do not provide the mandatory data with respect to a particular activity, you will not be able to engage in that activity. If during or after visiting a UCF College of Medicine website you choose to share some personal information with us via email or by filling out an electronic form, we will use the information only for authorized purposes. However, some of the information may be saved for a designated period of time to comply with the State of Florida’s archiving policies.

Collection of Technical Information
When you use the UCF College of Medicine websites, we may also collect certain technical information about your computer to facilitate, evaluate and verify your use of the websites and web applications to improve the quality of our web services. How We Use the Information

You may also access and correct your personal information and privacy preferences (such as whether you wish to receive our email communications) by contacting UCF College of Medicine Web Services at medweb@ucf.edu.

Please include your name, address and/or email address when you contact us as well as indicate with as much detail as possible the location on UCF College of Medicine website or otherwise where you provided your personal information.

Student Information
Under current Florida and federal law, limited personal student information – Directory Information – can be made available on UCF College of Medicine websites consistent with UCF policy on the release of directory information.

To suppress the display of your Directory Information throughout UCF, including UCF College of Medicine websites, you must fill out Directory Disclosure/Release Authorization Form and submit it to the College of Medicine Registrar’s Office.

Community Sites, Blogs, and Forums
Please note that any information you post to public community sites, bulletin boards, blogs, chat rooms, wikis, etc. is available to all persons accessing these websites. The information you share, including your email address, may then be available to anyone accessing these sites and may be read, collected, or used by others for any purpose, including sending you unsolicited messages.

UCF College of Medicine is not responsible for any information you elect to post to these websites or the use of such information. If you do not wish for your personal information to be posted or distributed in this manner, you should not participate in public community sites, bulletin boards, blogs, chat rooms, wikis, etc.
