On Monday, Sept. 26, UCF Health is making it a little easier to get your annual mammogram. Through a partnership with Florida Hospital, a mobile mammogram unit will be at the UCF Health East Orlando office location.
The goal is to make getting an annual mammogram screening easier for women by making services available at locations close to where women work. With less impact on your day, the mobile mammography unit allows women to get in and get out quickly.
Regular mammogram screenings are recommended for women as they grow older, usually starting at age 40. No prescription is required and most insurance is accepted. This event is specifically for preventative screening services only. If you are experiencing any breast pain, know of a lump or have any other breast symptoms, please consult your physician about proper services.
