Angeline Massett, M.D.

Biography

Dr. Angeline Massett is a rheumatologist at UCF Health, joining the practice’s team of academic rheumatology specialists in Central Florida. She is board certified in internal medicine and board-eligible in rheumatology, with fellowship training at Penn State Health, where she cared for patients with rheumatoid arthritis, systemic lupus erythematosus, psoriatic arthritis, vasculitis, systemic sclerosis, Sjögren’s syndrome, and other complex autoimmune conditions. She has a particular clinical and research interest in lupus and vasculitis, and is an experienced medical educator who has delivered numerous grand rounds presentations to medical students, residents and fellows.

Dr. Massett brings a thoughtful, detail-oriented approach to diagnosis and values building long-term relationships with patients navigating chronic autoimmune disease. She earned her medical degree from the University of Michigan, where she was inducted into Alpha Omega Alpha, and completed her internal medicine residency at the University of Michigan Health System.

Education

Dr. Massett earned her Bachelor of Science in Biology from DeSales University before receiving her medical degree from the University of Michigan Medical School. She completed her internal medicine residency at the University of Michigan Health System and went on to complete a rheumatology fellowship at Penn State Health, where she received advanced training in the diagnosis and management of autoimmune, inflammatory, and musculoskeletal diseases. Throughout her training, Dr. Massett developed a strong passion for medical education, regularly delivering lectures to residents and fellows on a range of clinical topics.

Background

Dr. Massett trained at two major academic medical centers with affiliated VA hospitals, caring for patients with a wide range of complex autoimmune and rheumatologic conditions in both inpatient and outpatient settings. During her fellowship, she managed her own continuity clinic, provided inpatient rheumatology consultations across multiple hospital services, and served as the division’s overnight and weekend on-call physician. Her clinical interests include rheumatoid arthritis, psoriatic arthritis, systemic lupus erythematosus, systemic vasculitis, and emerging therapies for autoimmune disease. She has contributed to peer-reviewed research and scientific presentations and is an active member of the American College of Rheumatology and the Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Medical Society.

Dr. Massett’s dedication to rheumatology stems from the unique opportunity to build meaningful, long-term relationships with patients while managing complex, chronic autoimmune diseases.
