Study Title: UCF Health Neurocognitive Clinic
Nearly 6 million Americans are living with dementia, and these numbers are projected to grow exponentially over the next few decades. Early screening and detection are critical to identifying risk factors and preserving your independence throughout later life. Early assessment also provides useful information about your cognitive functioning for future comparison. UCF Health is now offering brief neurocognitive assessment services for patients over the age of 18 with memory difficulties. For more information, or to schedule an appointment, please contact Dr. Daniel Paulson or Nicholas James at 407-823-4135. Study Title: Evaluating an Integrated Developmental Model of Disordered Mood in Later-Life
The OLDeR Lab at UCF researches human aging. We are currently studying how common health problems and behaviors relate to mood and thinking in older adults. As part of this research, we are conducting a 2-hour assessment at UCF Health at Lake Nona (9975 Tavistock Lakes Blvd., Orlando, FL), during which we will ask questions about your mood and health, and have you complete a couple of different tasks. You will be paid $20 for participation. Participants must be fluent in English and have normal/corrected vision, no history of head trauma with cognitive impairment, no stroke history, and no severe mental illness. If you are 65 or older and are interested in participating, contact Rosanna Scott at the OLDeR Lab at (407) 823-4135.
UCF Health and researchers from UCF periodically hosts support groups for various medical conditions. Please check back to see when groups are scheduled.
