Dr. Patel is an experienced and widely respected board certified ophthalmologist who evaluates and manages eye diseases both medically and surgically. With a passion for cataract surgery and optimizing vision, he specializes in refractive cataract surgery and minimally invasive glaucoma surgery. Dr. Patel actively promotes the importance of having good vision by keeping his patients well informed about their diagnoses and options when it comes to surgery.
Our UCF Health ophthalmologists are experts in eye care – and are also faculty physicians at the UCF College of Medicine, where they train the next generation of doctors. They specialize in cataract surgery and treatments of other eye conditions, including glaucoma, diabetic eye disease, macular degeneration, pterygium and dry eyes and allergies.

Dr. Monika Farhangi is a board certified ophthalmologist whose passion is personalized patient care, and she is committed to improving eye health through surgical and clinical means. A UCF College of Medicine graduate, she has returned to Orlando to care for the community she loves. In addition to cataract and glaucoma surgery, she treats a variety of other eye conditions, including diabetic eye disease, macular degeneration, pterygium, dry eyes and allergies.
