Lisa C. Barkley, M.D.
Dr. Lisa Barkley is board certified in family, adolescent and sports medicine. She also serves as assistant dean of diversity and inclusion for the UCF College of Medicine.
Dr. Barkley received her M.D. at Temple University in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. She did her internship and residency in family medicine at Montgomery Family Medical Residency in Norristown, Pennsylvania. She did her fellowship in adolescent and sports medicine at Christina Care Health System in Wilmington, Delaware.
Before joining the UCF College of Medicine in 2011, Dr. Barkley was associate vice president for health and wellness at Delaware State University and founding dean of the College of Health and Public Policy. She joined UCF Health in 2012. She has done research and presentations on topics ranging from eating disorders among competitive ice skaters to health disparities among African American adolescents.
