Hina Tareen, M.D.

Dr. Hina Tareen is board certified in Internal Medicine with fellowship training in Rheumatology. She specializes in the diagnosis and treatment of diseases of the joints, muscles and bones. Dr. Tareen’s clinical interests include rheumatoid arthritis, psoriatic arthritis, ankylosing spondylitis, systemic lupus erythematosus, Sjogren’s syndrome, systemic sclerosis, myositis, gout/pseudogout, osteoarthritis and vasculitis.
Dr. Tareen received her M.D. degree at Texas A&M Health Science Center College of Medicine, and completed her rheumatology fellowship and internal medicine residency at the Baylor College of Medicine. She earned her undergraduate degree in biology and health care ethics at Texas Christian University. During her training she received the Arnold P. Gold Foundation Humanism in Medicine award for exhibiting humanism, compassion, excellence in clinical care, dedication and leadership.
Dr. Tareen is board certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine and received a Certificate in Quality and Safety by the Institute for Healthcare Improvement. She has done extensive volunteer work to make care available to all. Her goal is to form a strong relationship with each of her patients as they work together to manage their chronic conditions.
