Biography

Dr. Jeffrey LaRochelle is board certified in internal medicine. A Colonel in the U.S. Air Force, he has cared for patients at the Orlando VA Medical Center and is also Associate Dean of Academic affairs at the UCF College of Medicine and a professor of medicine.

Education

Dr. LaRochelle received his M.D. and M.P.H. from the Uniformed Services University after earning undergraduate degrees in Microbiology and English from the University of Florida.

Background

Dr. LaRochelle came to UCF in 2017 after serving as director of integrated clinical skills and associate program director of the National Capital Consortium Internal Medicine Residency at the Uniformed Services University in Bethesda MD. He was also assistant chief of medicine at Walter Reed National Military Medical Center.

Dr. LaRochelle was called to active duty in the early days of the pandemic and led a COVID-19 hospital team in New York City when it was the epicenter of infections. As Associate Dean at the UCF College of Medicine, he leads the medical school’s academic programs.
